  • This data set consists of an unsupervised classification of land and water for the year 1993 for the CWPPRA project, Sabine Refuge Protection (CS-18). The data are generated using the color infrared mosaicked imagery for that year. The data are used by project managers for each site in order to get a general overview of land loss. This data can be compared to the same type of data from previous years to conduct trend analysis.

Wetland Value Assessment

  • Project Area (acres): 13000
  • Average Annual Habitat Units*: 1655
  • Acres Created / Restored: 0
  • Acres Protected: 5542
  • Total Net Acres: 5542

* Habitat Units represent a numerical combination of habitat quality (Habitat Suitability Index) and habitat quantity (acres) within a given area at a given point in time. Average Annual Habitat Units represent the average number of Habitat Units within any given year over the project life for a given area.
