You are invited to an upcoming workshop to learn next steps in utilizing blue carbon to support restoration and management efforts for the Gulf Region:

Blue Carbon: Taking the Next Steps Gulf Regional Workshop

WHEN: March 15, 2017
WHERE: New Orleans, LA (additional details coming soon)
WHO: Coastal resource managers and practitioners, NGOs, scientists, consultants, and local and regional agencies – Ideally, attendees should have a basic understanding of blue carbon and/or attended a past introductory workshop or webinar.
WHAT: This one-day workshop will cover various next steps to utilizing blue carbon as a tool for coastal resource management.

Topics will include:
  • Identifying blue carbon potential, including linking blue carbon to management goals and landscape planning
  • Understanding science needs, including key questions to answer and existing resources
  • Communicating blue carbon values
  • Market next steps: conducting a feasibility study, and Engaging with industry
