The CWPPRA Regional Planning Teams (RPT) will conduct virtual meetings to propose projects that will be considered for the 32nd Priority Project List (PPL 32). All proposals consistent with the 2017 State Master Plan will be considered as possible nominees for the PPL 32 evaluation process. A lead agency will be assigned to each nominated project to develop fact sheets after the meetings. If you would like guidance on the development of projects that are consistent with the 2017 State Master Plan, please contact Kent Bollfrass of the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) by email at kent.bollfrass@la.gov.

RPT Presentation Requirements:
Proposal presentations must be less than five minutes in length and all PowerPoint slide presentations must be no more than five slides. To smoothly operate in the virtual setting, those who wish to secure a spot on the agenda for their project proposal can fill out the PPL 32 project nomination form located in the announcements section at
https://www.mvn.usace.army.mil/missions/environmental/cwppra.aspx
and send it to Alice.P.Kerl.@usace.army.mil by 1 February 2022.

Though not required, fact sheets and presentations are recommended to accompany your nomination form. Any factsheets submitted by the deadline will be posted online for reference during the meetings. PowerPoint presentations will be accepted up to 8 a.m. the day of the meeting and must be sent to Alice.P.Kerl.@usace.army.mil

* Note: Please present proposed construction cost including contingency in $5M range increments: $0-$5M, $5M-$10M,etc. It is also recommended that proposals include a project vicinity map.
The coastwide RPT vote will occur on February 24, 2022 via email to select up to 22 nominees (including demonstration project nominees) for Technical Committee approval. The details of the PPL 32 Planning Process can be found at:

Agenda
Meeting Purpose: The Regional Planning Teams (RPTs) will accept project and demonstration project nominations for developing the 32nd Priority Project List (PPL). Public comments are welcomed; however, no voting will take place at these meetings. RPTs will select PPL 32 nominees via electronic voting on February 24, 2022.

  1. Welcome and Introductions: RPT Team Leader, Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), CWPPRA Representatives, Parish Representatives, State Representatives, RPT members

  2. PPL 32 Selection Process Brief Overview and Ground Rules for Today’s PPL 32 Nomination Meeting (RPT Leader)

  3. Explanation of Coastwide Voting Process (RPT Leader)*

  4. PPL 32 Project Nominations (Entire RPT) Nominees must be consistent with and support the 2017 State Master Plan.

  5. Announcements of upcoming PPL 32, Task Force, Technical Committee and Other Program Meetings

  6. Adjourn

*If not already identified, parishes within each basin will be asked to identify who will vote during the coastwide electronic vote before February 1st by emailing Alice.P.Kerl.@usace.army.mil. No additional projects will be nominated after the RPT meetings, nor will any significant changes to projects proposed at these meetings be allowed. Public comments will be heard during the meeting and additional written comments may be forwarded to the CWPPRA Program Manager, Sarah Bradley, by February 17, 2022 for dissemination to the CWPPRA agencies.
