PROJECT STATUS REPORT as of 16-Apr-2024

Periodic Intro of Sediment &Nutrients Demo DEAUTHORIZED

PROJECT LOCATION:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The project concept involves the use of an existing Corps-leased hydraulic dredge to enrich the sediment content of an existing freshwater diversion.

PROJECT STATUS: (Project Status Last Updated: 08-Jun-2007 )

In August 2005, project was stalled due to Katrina workload. In November 2006 team began coordinating with 4th Supplemental project, Modification to Caenarvon, to ensure consistency. Also, the team is working on developing benefits of a thin layer of sediment versus marsh creation.

FUND STATUS:

The current project estimate is $88,009 , which includes $87,934 for construction first costs, and $75 and $0 for 20 years of monitoring and operations and maintenance, respectively.
