PROJECT LOCATION:

Western end of Whiskey Island of the Isles Dernieres Chain of Barrier Islands, Terrebonne Parish, LA

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Mine and transport sand approximately 8 miles from the "Ship Shoal" offshore sand body to rebuild dunes and marsh platform.

PROJECT STATUS: (Project Status Last Updated: 5-Dec-2008 )

The project's cost data was updated and a revised Phase 2 request was presented to the Technical Committee on December 3, 2008.

FUND STATUS:

The current project estimate is $3,742,053 , which includes $3,717,855 for construction first costs, and $24,198 and $0 for 20 years of monitoring and operations and maintenance, respectively.
