Lake Borgne Shoreline Protection
PROJECT LOCATION:
Lake Borgne Shoreline at Shell Beach and Bayou Dupre, St. Bernard Parish, LA.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Construction of a nearshore rock breakwater for shoreline protection in Lake Borgne at Shell Beach and Bayou Dupre.
PROJECT STATUS: (Project Status Last Updated: 27-Aug-2009 )
All contractor on-site work was completed in October 2008. Awaiting submittal and approval of final as-built drawings along with final construction completion report.
FUND STATUS:
The current project estimate is $25,213,802 , which includes $21,721,687 for construction first costs, and $26,711 and $3,465,404 for 20 years of monitoring and operations and maintenance, respectively.
