RSVP DEADLINE EXTENDED!!

The RSVP date for "A Taste of the Estuary" has been extended to FRIDAY -
October 16th. We thought we would give you a peak at the menu below as
you RSVP. Following the menu is the original invitation. We are looking
forward to seeing you all at the event. Please remember RSVP is REQUIRED
as this is a sit down dinner event. Once you RSVP your tickets will be
sent to you.


Hors d'oeuvres:
Trio of oyster shooters
Grilled Shrimp Topped w/ Mango-Avocado Salsa
Wild Mushroom, Leek and Fontina Cheese Quiche
Venison, Apricot and Pecan Sausage

Soup:
Sweet Potato and Chipotle Bisque Garnished w/ Rabbit in Escabeche and
Queso Fresco

Entree:
Cornmeal-Crusted Red Snapper set on Zucchini, Tomatoes and Cannelini Beans
w/ Saffron-Corn Coulis and Topped w/ Crab and Pomegranate Salsa

Dessert:
Persimmon and Pecan Cake w/ Olive Oil Infused Gelato and Praline
Liqueur-Infused Toffee Chips


We are writing to cordially invite you to participate in the
Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program's "A Taste of the Estuary"
event. Enjoy an evening of food, music, and friends. At this event,
BTNEP will honor major donors who have contributed to the
Barataria-Terrebonne Estuary Foundation. Additionally, we will be
highlighting our new cookbook "Louisiana Estuary Cuisine."

6:30 PM until 9:00 PM
6:30 PM to 7:00 PM Mixer with entertainment by Lost Bayou Ramblers
7:00 PM Dinner will be served

Location:
Nicholls State University; Cotillion Ballroom
Student Union
Thibodaux, LA

Cost:
$50 per ticket includes meal, wine, music and dancing


Throughout the evening you will hear Cajun music by the Lost Bayou
Ramblers and get to meet the author and Executive Chef Brandon LeBlanc,
photographer Lane Lefort, and graphic design artist Marian Brister
Martinez who all contributed to the new cookbook. Additionally, members
of our legislative delegation both on the national and state level will be
invited to join us.

should be made to the BTEF in advance and sent to the address below. Once
we have received the check, your ticket(s) will be mailed to you.
