Louisiana's coastal wetlands.
Friday, May 2 - Hunter & Angler Climate Change Training
Lafayette, LA, National Wetlands Research Center, 10 A.M. - 4 P.M.
This six-hour course will educate hunters, fishermen, and wildlife
enthusiasts about the local implications of climate change and how we
can improve the prospects for Louisiana's wildlife, waterways, and other
cherished natural resources. Lunch will be provided. For more

Saturday, May 3 - Coastal Wetlands Restoration Project near Pecan Island
8 A.M. - 1 P.M., In Honor of Terry Melancon
Experience the essence of Louisiana's coastal marsh, in an area
surrounded by such wildlife refuges. This specialized project will
restore areas that have been impacted by erosion. This event is being
organized in honor of Terry Melancon, past president of the Louisiana
Wildlife Federation, a conservation leader who believed in giving back
to the wildlife resources that were a big part of his life. Meals and
