NOAA's Coastal Services Center Funding Opportunity Title: FY 2008 Gulf of
Mexico Alliance Governors'Action Plan Implementation -
see above link for DRAFT announcement
The purpose of this notice is to solicit proposals for a cooperative
agreement between NOAA and partnering entities from Gulf of Mexico States
to implement actions identified in the Gulf of Mexico Alliance Governors'
Action Plan. Proposals submitted in response to this announcement must
contribute to the beneficial public outcomes associated with the five
priority issues in this Plan - water quality for healthy beaches and
shellfish beds; wetland and coastal conservation and restoration;
environmental education; identification and characterization of Gulf
habitats; and nutrient reduction - as well as Coastal Community
Resiliency, a priority issue elevated by the Alliance since release of the
Plan.
This announcement addresses all priority issues for the Gulf of Mexico
Alliance. Letter of intent is DUE by January 10, 2008; proposal DEADLINE
is February 8, 2008; anticipated funding start date is October 2008.
