Timbalier Island Dune & Marsh Restoration

PROJECT LOCATION:

Project is located on the eastern end of Timbalier Island, Terrebonne Parish, LA.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Construction will include beach, dune, and marsh creation. Sediment source alternatives are being developed and evaluated during design.

PROJECT STATUS: (Project Status Last Updated: 27-Aug-2009 )

Lessoned learned meeting was held on April 23, 2008. LDNR grant for Phase II construction activities was closed-out on March 19, 2009. Remaining Phase II increment activities included on-going annual inspections.

FUND STATUS:

The current project estimate is $16,175,513 , which includes $15,771,447 for construction first costs, and $224,887 and $179,179 for 20 years of monitoring and operations and maintenance, respectively.
