An extensive number of ecological and socioeconomic performance measures have been developed in order to evaluate the output from the SFWMM. Additional performance measures have been or are being development to better address the affects of the different alternatives on water supply and the environment. More performance measures are now available for the LECSA on the frequency of water shortages and where water shortages are being triggered. In addition, more performance measures are under development for the Lake Okeechobee Service to better define water shortage. A new map has been developed which provides an indication at a regional scale the changes in peak stages in the system from one alternative to the next. These maps have raised concerns in South Dade regarding the potential for changes in groundwater levels from the C-111 project to agriculture to the east. We will be meeting with the South Dade interests early in December to discuss their concerns and assist them in the interpretation of the model output. A number of additional performance measure are still under development and will be made available as they are completed.
