The purpose is to address specific provisions of WRDA 2000 .
The WRDA provision is as follows:
(1) Outreach and Assistance - Small Business Concerns owned and operated by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals …. Are provided opportunities to participate.
Community Outreach and Education ensure that impacts on socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, including individuals with limited English proficiency, and communities are considered during implementation of the Plan, and that such individuals have opportunities to review and comment on its implementation.
Provision of Opportunities - public outreach and education opportunities are provided, to the individuals of South Florida, including individuals with limited English proficiency, and in particular for socially and economically disadvantaged communities.
We have developed a management plan which is currently out for public review to manage the socio-economic and environmental justice aspects of CERP at the program level.
